VERLOREN Announces “Nightfall,” Featuring International Collaborations
Brazilian Dark Synthwave and Industrial Goth project VERLOREN is preparing to unveil Nightfall, a new single bringing together artists from the international gothic and industrial music scenes. Scheduled for release in late October 2026, the track blends dark electronic atmospheres with haunting vocals and industrial textures.
The single features Margriet Mol, vocalist of Dutch Gothic Rock band ASRAI, sharing vocal duties with VERLOREN’s Lord Raven. Also joining the collaboration is Sallim, keyboardist of Brazilian Industrial Synth duo OMNICODE.
Originally composed more than a year ago, Nightfall has been reworked by Lord Raven, preserving Margriet’s original vocal performance and the keyboards and effects recorded by Flávio Salim (OMNICODE), while incorporating new instrumental arrangements and guitar parts by Arth.
The collaboration grew out of years of friendship and creative exchange between Lord Raven and the ASRAI members, eventually bringing together distinct influences from gothic rock, dark synthwave, and industrial music.
Formed during the pandemic, VERLOREN has released Black Constellation (2023), Abduction (2024), and From the Stars (2025), steadily developing its own identity within the darker realms of electronic and alternative music.
With Nightfall, VERLOREN opens a new chapter in its sonic evolution — just as the shadows of Halloween begin to fall.
Verloren Announces “Nightfall,” Featuring Asrai Vocalist Margriet Mol
The single brings together Brazilian dark synthwave and industrial goth project Verloren with the Dutch vocalist. The official music video premieres on October 30, on the eve of Halloween.

Brazilian band Verloren has announced that Margriet Mol, vocalist of Dutch gothic rock band Asrai, will feature on its upcoming single, “Nightfall.” The collaboration was revealed in a teaser released on the project’s official YouTube channel. The track brings together Margriet’s voice and that of Verloren founder Lord Raven in a composition steeped in the dark atmospheres of dark synthwave and industrial goth.
The single is scheduled for official release on Friday, October 30, just ahead of Halloween. The full music video will also receive an exclusive advance screening for visitors to Horror Expo, at the Barra Funda Exhibition Center in São Paulo, where it will be shown on the large screen at the RedeVamp booth.
“Nightfall” also features Sallim, keyboardist of industrial synth duo Omnicode. His contribution expands the track’s electronic dimension, bringing together artists whose work spans different corners of the alternative and gothic music scenes.
A Collaboration Years in the Making
The invitation to Margriet Mol grew out of a relationship Lord Raven had cultivated over many years within the international gothic scene. More than a decade ago, he met British guitarist Jacquie Taylor of Razorbliss Kiss in person. The two exchanged records, stayed in touch, and later collaborated on a Roxette tribute track included in a compilation released by a Russian record label.
Some time later, Lord Raven came across a photograph of Jacquie alongside the members of Asrai and discovered that the guitarist had joined the Dutch band. Through this connection, he developed closer ties with the musicians, interviewing Asrai for his former European radio programme and later inviting the band to participate in another tribute project, this time dedicated to Dead Can Dance.
The relationship continued during the pandemic, when Lord Raven included Asrai in the lineup of Raven Fest, an event he organized. Later, while composing “Nightfall,” he envisioned a female vocal line that would complement his own performance.
According to Lord Raven, the melody was written with Margriet’s distinctive voice in mind. Since the two had already discussed the possibility of working together, the invitation to record the track came naturally. Margriet accepted, contributing not only her vocals but also an emotionally charged interpretation that, according to Lord Raven, added another dimension to the song.
Asrai and Its Connection with Brazilian Audiences
Formed in the late 1980s by twin sisters Karin Mol on drums and Margriet Mol on vocals, Asrai built its identity around gothic rock, dark atmospheres, and melodic sensibilities. Following its early recordings and releases throughout the 1990s, the band expanded its international profile in the early 2000s.
A significant milestone came with Touch in the Dark, an album mixed by Sasha Paeth, featuring backing vocal arrangements developed by Amanda Somerville in collaboration with Margriet. The album was released in Brazil through Hellion Records, which also distributed its follow-up, Pearls in Dirt, helping strengthen the band’s presence among Brazilian fans.
Over the years, Asrai has released further material and appeared at festivals dedicated to heavy and alternative music, including FEMME Metal in Belgium. The band also featured in the Raven Fest lineup, further strengthening its ties with Brazil’s gothic scene.
The Evolution of Verloren
Founded by Lord Raven during the pandemic, Verloren released its debut work, Black Constellation, in 2023. The project followed it with Abduction in 2024 and the single From the Stars in 2025, produced in partnership with Starship Produções and positively received by specialist media and audiences.
The lineup features Lord Raven on vocals, DJ Lord A. on synthesizers, effects, keyboards, and backing vocals, guitarist Arth, and Androidrums on electronic drums. The project combines dark synthwave and industrial goth, building a sound shaped by electronic textures and references to gothic culture.
Although the band maintains a selective live schedule, Verloren has performed at venues and events including Madame Underground Club, Steampunk Santos, Horror Expo, V. Temple in the United States, and Carmilla – Noite de Gala Sombria.
With “Nightfall,” Verloren brings together two artistic journeys rooted in alternative music, forging an international collaboration that bridges Brazilian dark electronics and Dutch gothic rock.
The single arrives on October 30, 2026, with Horror Expo visitors getting the opportunity to see the complete music video before its official premiere.
This Halloween, Verloren invites listeners into the darkness of “Nightfall.”
