I was invited by the ladies from Asrai tonight and Asrai is a band I've been following for years know. The band has never experienced a breakthrough like After Forever or Delain did but have been a stable factor in our gothic scene. I can be very short about the Asrai gig because every Asrai gig is a good one (if you like the band and music of course) No flaws or other mistakes. Asrai is a very experienced band and tonight they showed this again. Thank Goth, the sound was a lot better than what Elexorien had but sadly the lights remained crap.

To get in the mood for the upcomming ZEEHELDEN festival, 3 th july at Den Haag.

Asrai was playing live a couple of songs at Stork, Radio west ,Den Haag.

Also an interview was kept, the surprise of the evening was a double set

Asrai is een Haags/Schiedamse gothic/metalband die om half negen op het grote podium verschijnt.

Wat opvalt is dat het ineens wemelt van de fotografen en niet te vergeten het grote aantal gothics. Asrai is dan ook niet zomaar een band, wie hun biografie er op naslaat, komt te weten dat de band een enorme geschiedenis heeft. Zo’n vijfentwintig jaar geleden opgericht is hun aanhang sindsdien alleen maar groeiende. Die rijke historie is ook niet voor niets, want het optreden van Asrai is ronduit overtuigend. De muziek klinkt retestrak, de looks zijn goed - vandaar ook al die fotografen en de presentatie van zangeres Margriet is overtuigend.

Zelfs de vele niet-gothics blijven een uur lang geboeid kijken.
